Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

Hi all!!

Sorry it has taken so long to do some entry's! I am going to try and get an entry in once a week this year!

Well, the past few months have been so busy! In November, it was mum's 40th! Woo hoo! So Gran and Grandpa came over to celebrate with Rachel - and Uncle Dale! We didnt know Uncle Dale would be coming so it was a nice surprise but we had an awesome time showing them the sites of Dili and even taking them into the mountains! It was a gorgeous view of Dili, the surrounding mountains and the wide open sea!

It was sad to see them go but Rachel was coming again in three weeks for Christmas so we looked forward to spending more time with her! Now Christmas - that was a hectic time!! We had some army guys coming over for Christmas lunch - one of them, Dax, was from the Ramsgate church in Sydney - so we were very busy cooking but over here its not like home at Christmas so we had no turkey or ham so it was interesting! We also had a short Christmas service at 10:00 and the army guys were only allowed out for 4 hours on Christmas day so we cooked EVERYTHING the day before and just had cold lamb and pork and a variety of salads. And oh! the deserts were very yummy and we had so many of them we couldnt find enough space in the fridge and freezer! But all the hard work payed off and it turned out very well!

As apart of our Christmas presents, Mum and Dad booked us flights to fly to Darwin for New Year's and we were extremely excited! We left on the day after Boxing Day. The flight to Darwin was very interesting as there was a drunk guy on the plane and he would not keep sitting down. He was taunting the poor flight attendants and even tried to punch the guy near him! When we touched down in Darwin the police came onto the plane and escorted him off. I was never more glad to be off a plane in my life! It was quite scary!

Despite the dramatic flight we had an awesome time in Darwin. On New Year's the youth did a scavenger hunt - thanks to Scott Kennon for organising it all! - It was so much fun just spending time with the Darwin crew, and Katherine and Natalie Field, and the Cooper kids! It was just like when we were young! We watched the fireworks on a hill looking over Mindle Beach and the Casino. It was a very good spot!

While we were away, Mum and Dad went into the mountains to this very nice resort in Maubessi. They drove through cloud! I thought that was very cool :)

On the 6th of Jan, we came back to Dili and man, was it hectic in the next week! We had an Impact Team from Perth come and it was so, so, so amazing seeing God's work in people's lives and people being healed of blindness, deafness, demons, strokes, parilysis, and every imaginable kind of disease! One man couldnt walk for i think it was five years. He got up from his chair and was walking by himself! He was carried in and he walked out of the building! It was amazing! These miracles happened every night and the building was packed! We had to turn so many people away because we couldnt fit them in the building! Some guys on the team were in the parking lot praying with people there! It was an amazing time and i cannot wait until the next team comes up! Oh, Pastor Steve Zapata was leading the team, but Ps Don Rollinson came as well! There was 11 people in total from the team!

Things are back to normal now but i am sure there is much more to happen here!
